Woof, woof! It’s Hector here, your favorite city-exploring pup, ready to share all the tail-wagging details of my latest adventure in London. From chasing squirrels in Green Park to sniffing out the best dog-friendly spots, I had the most pawsome time soaking up the city’s sights, smells, and, of course, tastes! Whether it’s a sunny stroll through Mayfair or a relaxing stay at Treehouse Hotel London, here’s a full recap of my city adventure and how I made the most of my doggy day out in the Big Smoke.

Dog in the park

There is nothing we love more than a trip to London! A busy weekend in the city is enough to fill up our cups and then we are ready to head back home to daily life.

Once we arrived in London after a morning of zooming around, our first stop was Green Park—my favorite place for a quick leg stretch and some sniffing action. The trees smelled amazing, and oh, the squirrels! If we’re lucky, sometimes we bump into new dog friends and say a quick hello.

Afterward, we grabbed some lunch. I love it when we sit outside during the summer. We walked through Mayfair and found the perfect spot in Berkeley Square. There’s grass, benches, and so many interesting people to watch. I soaked up the sunshine while munching on a little snack and lapping up some fresh water.

Feeling ready for our afternoon of exploring the city, we wandered towards the shops – London is full of dog friendly ones! Selfridges is one of my favorites because my paws make the best tippy-tap sounds on the shiny floors.

I’m a pretty good walker, but sometimes the crowds are just too much for my little legs, so my humans carry me.

We made our way through the busy streets and ended up in Marylebone. We stopped by a local pet shop, and I got to pick out something special. After all, it’s my shopping trip too! Once we were all shopped out, we headed to our hotel for some much-needed rest.

Treehouse Hotel London is my kind of place—cozy, modern rooms with the best city views, all within a central location. The friendly reception staff greeted us with a warm welcome.

Our favourite spot at Treehouse London is The Nest which is their rooftop bar! It is dog friendly until 5pm so we headed up and enjoyed a cocktail in the afternoon sun while I enjoyed a bowl of water and some yummy treats.  On Sundays at noon, they even have a special ‘Drinks on the Woof’ event with a dog-friendly menu—how pawsome is that?!

After freshening up in our room, it was time for dinner.  We made reservations at Carlotta, a Big Mamma Italian restaurant. The smells were heavenly—pizza, pasta, and the most drool-worthy tiramisu and lemon meringue pie.

London is a hive of dog-friendly restaurants, and I’ve been to quite a few. Some of our London favourites are the Aubrey in Knightsbridge, which serves Japanese food, and Straits Kitchen which is Southeast Asian cuisine.

Sunday morning rolled around, and we ordered room service for breakfast so we could stay in our cozy room a bit longer. We took a quick stroll outside, and guess what? The hotel is just around the corner from the BBC Broadcasting House, which is a fun place to stop for a quick photo outside.

After a lazy morning, we checked out and headed to Hyde Park for one last adventure before the long drive home. I made sure to get all my sniffs in and burn off some energy so I could nap the whole way back.

Follow along for our next London adventure! 🐾
